Post-Construction Window Cleaning

Final-phase glass cleaning for new builds and renovations, coordinated with the rest of your closeout.

Post-construction glass is a different job from maintenance cleaning. Along with the usual dust there can be stucco splatter, concrete slurry, paint overspray, sealant smears, adhesive from labels and protective film, and metal fines from cutting on site. Some of it comes off routinely. Some of it does not, and some of it has already damaged the glass before anyone gets to it.

We evaluate before we quote

We look at the glass first and identify what is on it. Different residues need different handling, and a few materials cannot be removed without risk to the glass or its coating. We are not going to promise removal of every type of construction debris sight unseen, and we will not use an aggressive scraping approach across an entire building just because it works on one pane. Where a residue calls for a method that carries risk, we test an inconspicuous area, tell you what we found and let you decide.

Coordinating with the project

  • Scheduled after trades that generate overspray, dust and slurry have finished at the elevation
  • Phased by building, floor or elevation on larger sites
  • Punch-list returns handled as a defined revisit rather than an open-ended promise
  • COI, W-9 and vendor paperwork provided for the GC's project file before mobilization
  • Exterior focus, with interior glass included where the scope calls for it

Tempered and coated glass

Tempered glass is more vulnerable to surface damage than annealed glass, and some low-E and reflective coatings sit on the exposed surface. That is exactly why the evaluation comes first — the goal is clean glass at turnover, not a warranty claim.

Frequently asked questions

Can you remove paint and stucco from the glass?
Often, but not always, and never sight unseen. We evaluate the residue and the glass type, test where appropriate, and tell you what is realistically removable before the work is scheduled.
When should post-construction cleaning be scheduled?
After the trades working above and around the glass are finished. Cleaning too early usually means paying for it twice.
Do you work directly with general contractors?
Yes. GC coordination, phased scheduling and project documentation are routine for this service.
