Industrial Window Cleaning

Plants, warehouses and distribution buildings — large elevations, industrial grime and access that has to work around operations.

Industrial glass gets dirty differently. Exhaust film, yard dust, salt spray from truck traffic and mineral deposits from roof runoff build into a layer that a quick wipe will not touch. Add ribbon windows two stories up over a loading area and most in-house maintenance teams reasonably decide it is not their job.

Typical industrial scopes

  • Office and reception elevations on the front of a plant — the part visitors and job candidates see
  • Elevated ribbon glass and clerestory windows along production walls, cleaned from the ground where conditions allow
  • Break-room, guard-shack and dock-office glass
  • Skylights and interior daylighting panels where they can be safely reached
  • Mineral and hard-water deposit removal after testing an inconspicuous area

Working inside an operating facility

We plan around dock schedules, shift changes and yard traffic rather than expecting the plant to plan around us. Sign-in procedures, escort requirements, PPE expectations and restricted zones are all confirmed before the crew arrives. If your site requires a safety orientation before vendors work on the property, tell us during the assessment and we will build it into the schedule.

Documentation

Certificates of Insurance, W-9s and vendor onboarding paperwork are routine for us. We carry general liability and workers' compensation coverage, and a COI can be issued naming your entity as certificate holder before the first visit.

Access on industrial properties

Water-fed poles handle a large share of industrial exterior glass from ground level, which keeps crews out of traffic lanes and off ladders where possible. Where pole access is not practical, we use ladders or a lift, and we work up to approximately three stories.

Frequently asked questions

Can you work around production schedules?
Yes. Early mornings, second-shift windows and weekends are all workable when a plant needs its exterior areas clear during production.
Do you handle heavy mineral staining on industrial glass?
Often, yes. Hard-water and mineral deposits are evaluated and tested first, because severely etched glass cannot be restored by cleaning. We tell you what is removable before the work is scheduled.
Do you provide a Certificate of Insurance for our vendor file?
Yes — general liability and workers' compensation certificates are available on request, made out to the entity you specify.
